Da tempo i fan degli Oasis si chiedono che fine abbia fatto la ristampa di Be Here Now, il terzo album degli Oasis, la pubblicazione della cui edizione rimasterizzata era stata annunciata poco più di due anni fa, nel febbraio 2014, insieme a quella di Definitely Maybe, pubblicata il 20 maggio, e (What's the Story) Morning Glory?, edita il 29 settembre 2014.
Ebbene, non è dato saperlo, ma si sa per certo che tutti gli album da The Masterplan (1998) a Don't Believe the Truth (2005) sono in corso di ristampa. È escluso al momento Dig Out Your Soul, probabilmente per motivi contrattuali (i diritti di distribuzione sono stati ceduti in modo differente).
Il sito srcvinyl.com accetta preordini per tutti e quattro i dischi e riporta come data di pubblicazione di The Masterplan e Heathen Chemistry il 12 agosto 2016 e il 1° luglio 2016 per Standing on the Shoulder of Giantse Don't Believe the Truth. A questo punto si creerà nel catalogo un vuoto che sembrerebbe fatto apposta per essere riempito con la ristampa di Be Here Now, anche se non si sa quando.
A quanto pare queste ristampe di The Masterplan, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, Heathen Chemistry e Don't Believe the Truth prevedono tutte la tracklist originale, quindi non sembrano differire dalle versioni vinile già edite nel 2009 da Big Brother Recordings. Il sito, però, le cataloga come "ristampe in vinile 180 grammi" e in teoria questa dicitura dovrebbe far pensare ad un miglioramento nella qualità del suono.

All the Oasis albums from 'The Masterplan' to 'Don't Believe the Truth' will be reissued. This US site is taking preorders for all four albums, with two release dates, 12 August 2016 for 'The Masterplan' and 'Heathen Chemistry' and 1st July 2016 for Standing on the Shoulder of Giants and Don't Believe the Truth.
Since the DM and WTSMG remasters are still available, that leaves a convenient BHN-shaped hole in the catalogue, which is certainly promising. DOYS is not included, maybe because it was under another kind of deal.
They all seem to have the original tracklistings and this could mean they are identical to the 2009 Big Brother versions. The website above, though, lists them as "180 gram vinyl reissues", so there could be an improvement in sound quality.
